Balsz Elementary School District

The Balsz Elementary School District is a school district in Phoenix, Arizona that includes five schools,[1] which are: Balsz Elementary School, established as a one-room school house in 1888; Griffith Elementary School, built in 1951; David Crockett Elementary School, opened in 1955; Orangedale Junior High Prep Academy, converted from K-8 and Brunson-Lee Elementary School, opened in 2003.[2] The school district's superintendent is Jeffrey J. Smith.[3]
